Hollywood follows a loose narrative of a relationship, starting with longing on You Changed Me. But unfortunately, not even the most captivating co-stars can save Foxx from being upstaged by lackluster songwriting. The actor/singer, whose biggest hits include the collaborations Blame It (featuring T-Pain) and Winner (with Justin Timberlake and T.I.), assembles an impressive cast of singers and producers here, including Chris Brown, Pharrell Williams, Kid Ink, and DJ Mustard. Jamie Foxx musters polite applause, at best, on his first album in five years, subtitled A Story of a Dozen Roses (**1/2 out of four).
